Digital Action is looking for two new members to join their Advisory Board and support their work on democracy and technology, helping to bring people and ideas together to challenge the power of Big Tech globally. Digital Action is a growing organisation, originally formed in 2019. They receive funding from Luminate, Unbound Philanthropy and the Ford, MacArthur and Open Societies Foundations, they have also been funded by the Wallace Foundation and at present Digital Action are fiscally sponsored by the New Venture Fund (NVF). In 2021 Digital Action is aiming to establish itself as an independent organisation, with an initial base in the UK and the Republic of Ireland and expanding to other jurisdictions, as needs dictate.

The Advisory Board is an informal advisory body to Digital Action, not a legal board of directors. The Advisory Board holds no binding legal, contractual or financial responsibility for Digital Action or its staff or consultants. Membership of the Advisory Board is voluntary and unpaid.

Digital Action values diversity. They have developed a recruitment process that they hope will be inclusive and straightforward, and they encourage Expressions of Interest from all backgrounds and communities.
