Director on AI & Human Rights related issues

Role and responsibilities

  • Strategy drafting for the actions of Homo Digitalis in the national and EU level regarding the implementation of AI and its implications on human rights, in collaboration with the Board of Directors.
  • Organizing and participating in meeting with stakeholders at the national and EU level (i.e. Members of the Greek and the European Parliament, independent authorities, governmental representatives.
  • Establishment of good relationships and participation in conversations with civil society organizations in related fields in Greek and EU level, to enhance and promote open public dialogue.
  • Constant review of legislative initiatives regarding digital rights and organization of related awareness-raising actions and participation in the legislative initiatives.
  • Constant monitoring of implementation of AI technologies with impact on human rights in the Greek and EU level.
  • Introducing, organizing and monitoring of initiatives for awareness-raising initiatives (i.e. drafting of articles and reports) and legal actions (i.e. complaints, right to access to documents).
  • Counselling and provision of information to the members of Homo Digitalis.
  • Collaboration and meeting planning with the Homo Digitalis management team and the members of the organization in working groups.
  • Collaboration with the Board of Directors and participation in its meetings, when necessary.
  • Drafting of a report for the actions of the organization periodically, as agreed with the Board of Directors.

Fundraising Manager/Charity Expert


  • Creation and management of a database of donors (international and national
  • foundations, private companies and companies offering donations).
  • Regular monitoring of donor programs and websites. Identifying and creating a network of contacts with potential donors (companies and organizations) that fit the work of Homo Digitalis.
  • Drafting proposals for projects/raising funds in collaboration with the Board of Directors and staff of Homo Digitalis. Ensuring timely submission of said proposals and organization of meetings with potential donors (companies and organizations).
  • Organization of fundraising events in Greece or abroad and/or crowdfunding campaign.
  • Improvement of existing and development of additional promotional material for Homo Digitalis in collaboration with the Board, the staff and/or the members of the organization.
  • Compile analysis of fundraising activities for regular reports to the Board of Directors of Homo Digitalis.
  • Representation of Homo Digitalis in networking and fundraising events and activities.
  • Research to find alternative resources for the long-term sustainability of the organization.
  • Drafting proposals for other innovative ideas for effective pooling of resources.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Communication/Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
  • At least 5 years of professional fundraising experience or in project management – demonstrated knowledge of project management, including budgets.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Non-Profit Organizations and Non-Governmental Organizations ecosystem, both nationally and internationally.
  • Excellent knowledge of Greek and English.
  • Team management experience.
  • Written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge and use of PC
