Amnesty International is hiring for a Senior UN Advocate

Amnesty International is seeking a Senior UN Advocate in New York to lead the organisation’s advocacy strategies with the United Nations and other intergovernmental bodies.

Based in New York, the Senior UN Advocate will monitor and analyse developments at the UN General Assembly and Security Council, lead the development and implementation of Amnesty’s international advocacy on thematic and country-specific human rights issues, and generate high-quality advocacy materials including briefs, letters, and submissions.

The role requires at least 5 years of experience working with the UN in New York, a postgraduate degree in law, political science, international relations or a related field, and a strong grasp of UN institutional processes and human rights mechanisms.
