The 21st annual meeting of the Internet Governance Forum will be held in Nairobi, Kenya, marking the first gathering of the global multistakeholder community since the UN General Assembly’s decision to establish the IGF as a permanent UN forum.
The IGF brings together governments, the private sector, civil society, the technical community, academia, and international organisations to address pressing digital governance issues, including data governance, digital inclusion, and security, safety, stability, and resilience.
The meeting will be held in a hybrid format, allowing participation either on-site in Nairobi or online from anywhere in the world, with this approach extended to session organisers, speakers, moderators, and rapporteurs to ensure meaningful and equitable participation for all.
