The Green Screen Coalition is a group of funders and practitioners working at the intersection of climate justice and digital rights, seeking to make the environmental and social impacts of AI and the tech industry visible. The Coalition supports emerging on-the-ground work, builds networks, and embeds these issues within philanthropy, operating as a programme under the fiscal sponsorship of the Green Web Foundation.

Green Screen is looking for a mid-level programme assistant to work alongside the programme co-leads, providing hands-on operational support to the coalition’s activities. Responsibilities include coordinating meetings, tracking actions, preparing grant funder reports and budget updates, drafting contracts, supporting active projects (rapid research, regional events, strategic consultants), updating the coalition website, and providing logistical support for community events.
The role supports a global community of activists, researchers, technologists, and artists working to build alternatives to extractive technological systems. The role is best suited to someone critical of current extractive systems who wants to provide operational support to enable the network to chart a different path. Note: whilst your contract will be managed through Green Web Foundation, you will work directly with and as part of the Green Screen team.
The contract is temporary – freelance, 12-month minimum with 2-month trial period.
