Digital Rights and Equality Symposium

Oxfam Ireland is hosting the Digital Rights and Equality Symposium on 21 October 2026 at O’Reilly Hall, University College Dublin. This all-day event will bring together policymakers, regulators, civil society and private sector leaders from Ireland and internationally to address a central question: how do we ensure the digital transformation reduces—rather than deepens—inequality?

Oxfam Ireland is hosting the Digital Rights and Equality Symposium on 21 October 2026 at O’Reilly Hall, University College Dublin. This all-day event will bring together policymakers, regulators, civil society and private sector leaders from Ireland and internationally to address a central question: how do we ensure the digital transformation reduces—rather than deepens—inequality?

Held in partnership with UCD College of Social Sciences and Law, the event will include panel discussions, presentations, and informal networking, featuring real-life stories of what’s at stake for Global Majority communities as digital inequality rises and practical examples of how to tackle pressing issues at the intersection of human rights and technology.

The event is part of ReCentering the Civic Internet through Partner Engagement (ReCIPE), Oxfam Ireland’s digital rights programme co-funded by the European Union.
