CONCORD is seeking a specialist consultant to strengthen its ability to use communications strategically in support of fundraising and donor engagement, organisational visibility and positioning, and long-term internal capacity building. The consultant will work closely with the Communications and Fundraising teams to develop compelling narratives and messaging for donor audiences, identify visibility and PR opportunities, and co-develop donor-facing materials.
A core objective of the assignment is knowledge transfer: the consultant is expected to mentor and coach communications staff and ensure that tools, methodologies and approaches remain within the organisation after the consultancy ends. CONCORD is looking for someone with proven experience in strategic communications linked to fundraising, expertise in media relations and public positioning, and the ability to work hands-on with a small team. Being based in Brussels or travelling regularly to Brussels is preferred.
The position is temporary – freelance consultancy; 50% basis from early September to mid-December 2026, then 20% basis into 2027 (TBC)
