Background
The Transatlantic Consumer Dialogue (TACD) is hosting a discussion between Congressman David Cicilline and Member of the European Parliament Stephanie Yon-Courtin on the future of competition law applied to the digital economy and platform power from a Trans-Atlantic perspective.
The discussion will cover important issues such as the scope of alignment between the EU and the US on competition policy and tackling the market power of the big technology companies.
The role of regulation in tackling such market power and creating conditions for effective competition is currently at the heart of discussions both in the EU and the US.
