The Digital Freedom Fund (DFF) works to advance digital rights through strategic litigation in Europe. It supports partners—especially those working with marginalised communities—in challenging abuses of digital rights. DFF empowers the field by providing funding, facilitating skill-sharing, and strengthening collaboration across the movement.

The role
As Board Treasurer, you will guide the financial oversight of the organisation, ensuring transparency, legal compliance and alignment with DFF’s values. You’ll support the strategic direction of the organisation and work closely with other board members and the Executive Director.
What you’ll need to have
- Experience in financial management, accounting or nonprofit governance
- Commitment to digital rights and social justice
- Familiarity with the operational context of NGOs, especially in Europe
- Fluency in English (working language of the Board)
What you’ll be doing
- Oversee DFF’s financial operations and reporting
- Advise on budgeting, audits and long-term sustainability
- Participate in quarterly board meetings and occasional consultations
- Act as a key steward of financial integrity and accountability
