Digital Justice Everyday Organizational Policy Toolkit
Who: Danae Tapia, Global Community Manager, Team CommUNITY
Date: Tuesday, December 13th
Time: 9am EST / 2pm UTC (what time is it in my city?)
Language: English
Location: TBA
The pandemic has contributed to the significant deterioration of mental health of people working in digital rights. This is causing a drastic increase in burnout, conflicts on teams, loss of talent, and ultimately preventing us from advancing human rights goals.
While therapy is a crucial aspect of healing, to address the current mental health crisis, it must be accompanied by structural changes at the very organizations that make up the digital rights field. Failing to do so, critically endangers the future and sustainability of our field.
Digital Justice Every Day toolkit focuses on three organizational policies that, if properly implemented, can bring dramatic and almost immediate results to teams, people and work. They include four day work week, right to disconnect and unlimited vacations.
In addition, learn about upcoming research and work which will be done through Team CommUNITY’s newest initiative, Digital Justice House, lead by the Global Community Manager, Danae Tapia. Also, learn how this initiative can support both employees and managers implement these policies for their own context!
