NLnet is hiring for Regional Representative (Southern or Eastern Europe)

NLnet Foundation, through the NGI Zero initiative, supports free and open-source technologies that advance the open internet. In partnership with Brno University of Technology, the project is recruiting Regional Representatives to build bridges between local communities and the NGI ecosystem in “widening countries” across Southern and Eastern Europe.

The role

As a Regional Representative, you’ll support outreach and community-building efforts across your region, helping individuals and organisations access NGI Zero’s funding opportunities and grow the open tech ecosystem.

You’ll need to have:

  • A strong connection to local internet and open tech communities
  • Familiarity with free/libre open-source software (FLOSS) or digital rights work
  • Excellent communication and networking skills
  • Self-management and the ability to work independently in a distributed team

What you’ll be doing:

  • Act as a point of contact between your region and NGI Zero
  • Map relevant communities, networks and stakeholders
  • Provide feedback to NGI Zero to make programmes more accessible
  • Help prospective applicants understand and engage with the NGI grant process
