Member leaving

After a long-term disagreement with the Board of EDRi regarding governance, and recognizing the impossibility of reconciling positions, Xnet, after 5 years as a full voting member, and 8 prior years of active participation by Xnet’s director as an observer, has decided to withdraw as a member.

Both parties recognise each other as essential actors in the common fight for the defence of digital rights and can continue collaborating on common objectives, as partners on campaigns and advocacy, despite their differences.
