Programm Administrator

The programme team forms the core of the Sovereign Tech Fund. It makes content-related decisions, develops the programme further and supervises tech projects. For these tasks we are looking for a person who supports the work of the programme team administratively and organisationally.

Expertise

  • Experience in administrative areas, e.g. administration, accounting and/or grants management, ideally experience of working in a Fund is available.
  • A high level of motivation, reliability and a sense of responsibility as well as an independent way of working
  • A quick perception with a structured, proactive working style and high organisational skills
  • Great interest in and enjoyment of teamwork
  • Interest in technical topics
  • Completed university studies or comparable qualification
  • Very good German and business fluent English skills

Tasks

  • Reviewing, sorting and classifying incoming applications
  • Organisation and documentation of evaluation processes, discussions and decision making
  • Administrative support in the administration and management of contracts
  • Administrative support in the disbursement of funds
  • Coordination with the accounting department in the handling and development of administrative processes

Programme Manager

Expertise

  • Experience in management, administration, community management or grants management, ideally experience of working in a fund.
  • Good to very good knowledge of the topics of open source and/or software development, ideally good knowledge of the topic of open source infrastructure
  • Willingness to travel (internationally) and participate in networking meetings
  • High motivation, reliability and sense of responsibility as well as a proactive and independent way of working
  • A quick perception with a structured, proactive working style and high organisational skills
  • A keen interest in and enjoyment of teamwork
  • Interest in technical topics
  • Completed university studies or comparable qualification
  • Very good German and business fluent English skills

Tasks

  • Scouting, reviewing and evaluating tech projects
  • Leading and guiding discussions on applications, as well as developing funding decisions
  • Communicate with applicants and supervise projects
  • Monitoring and reviewing project reports
  • Researching current debates and developments in the field
  • Developing formats for projects and the further development of the fund
  • Representation of the Sovereign Tech Fund at conferences and other events as well as interface for the tech community
  • Networking with alumni and other organisations
